Welcome

Please feel free to check out my portfolio down below or check out the tabs in the upper corner to learn more about me.

I have experience in games engines, music production, sound design, video editing, programming, modeling, photo editing, UI design, drawing, and animation.

Game Engines

One of my biggest strengths is in the Unreal Engine which I have been using ever sense 2017. Though I can navigate and do simple audio implementation in Unity, Unreal has always been my favorite game engine. I've done lots of personal projects, modding, and completed a game Jam in the Unreal Engine. I have worked with many features in Unreal for coding, VFX, audio, cinema, AI, level design, UI, and animation. Many of these are demonstrated on my YouTube channel.

Personal Projects

Music Production

I have experience producing music in Ableton and Pro Tools.

I learned how to do music pre and post production as part of my Associates Degree in Arts. I have always loved music so much so I wanted to pursue education for music production and audio work. My current DAW is Ableton because of it's easy workflow and simple interface. Currently I don't have lots of songs but I'm still composing more on my free time and hope to continue to make music in the future.

Sound Design

I have experience doing sound design in Audacity, Pro Tools, and Ableton.

This video is a sound design project I did redoing the droid voices from Star Wars Episode 1.

Below is a finished project from a college class in Sound Design For Film and Video. All the work in this project was done in Pro Tools.

Video Editing

I have experience with Wondershare Filmora, Adobe Premier, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve and video capture software like OBS.

I've been making videos ever sense I was a kid. Editing for YouTube and formal/personal projects, I've used lots of different software; Currently I'm using DaVinci Resolve. Typically my videos only require simple cuts and transitions but ever once in a while I'll make some heavily edited videos.

The video below was edited in DaVinci Resolve using cuts, transitions, and some color correction.

Below is an old tutorial video I edited in Wondershare Filmora using lots of cuts and transitions.

Programming

I have experience programming in C++ and Python.

Ever sense I was a kid I've used mechanics and programming to act on my creativity. Using Minecraft Redstone, Binary, Scratch, Html, C++, and Python, principles of logical operations for creating systems are part of how I find simple solutions to complex problems.

C++ experience programming for LEGO Mindstorms NXT and for a college class teaching object oriented programming in C++.

Python experience programming personal projects. I've made lots of programs for investing using data analysis and complex decision making.

Modeling

When I first started modeling I used Asset Forage to model a Clay Pigeon. I quickly switched over to using Blender because of Asset Forage's limitations. Ever sense then Blender has been my go to for creating 3D Assets.

I started learning modeling for a custom map I was making for the game Insurgency: Sandstorm. I modeled a clay pigeon in Asset Forage before then switching to blender. Everything You see below aside from the Clay Pigeon is modeled in Blender including the tasty donut.

Photo Editing

I've been using Photoshop for years for YouTube thumbnails, color correction, graphics, and Instagram posts. I've been photo editing ever sense I was a kid using Paint.net(a free photo editing software) until I switched over to photoshop for more comprehensive editing tools.

UI Design

My design philosophy is based on what the user experiences. Typically I'll brain storm up all the features I would desire If I were using a product. After I would try to find which organization of those features yields the most intuitive experience. Then I'd begin working backwards building the functionality for that interface.

In the example on the left I wanted to design a dating app. I started brainstorming in photoshop listing desired features and forming a basic structure for the app. Once I had the basic functions nailed down I made a prototype in Adobe XD to further refine the idea with simplifying UI and adding features.

The primary feature of the app was the percentage based matchmaking. If someone meets your own desired characteristics in a partner and simultaneously you meet theirs, then you'd both be matched together. You can see this feature persist as a percentage bar beneath the profile pictures from photoshop to the Adobe XD prototype.

The example in the left shows how I brainstormed specific features I wanted for an interface. I then organized them differently together in photoshop to find the most practical and intuitive design before building it in Minecraft.

This may sound odd, but I have actually been designing interfaces and machines ever since I was a kid by playing the popular video game Minecraft. The game has an electrical mechanical system for building complex machines called Redstone and ever since I was a kid I've been building machines with unique interfaces to go with them.

Drawing and Animation

Drawing and animation is something I love to do and wish I could do more of. I have been using photoshop to draw over many years but it has largely been an on and off hobby of mine.
